We Made It! Moot Court Labour Law 2024 – Day of the Final Hearing

After a long period of intensive preparation, today’s final of this year’s labour law moot court saw the law students – armed with arguments – face each other in the jury courtroom of the Innsbruck Regional Court:

We would like to congratulate the four teams from the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck and in particular the students Valerie Jochum and Sarah Kostenzer, who were supported by our law firm, on their performance and also congratulate the winning team on their success!

Our labour law experts Laura Neururer-Blum and Melanie Gassler-Tischlinger were happy to support a team on behalf of GPK Pegger Kofler & Partners once again and prepare the simulated trial in the field of labour law. Valerie and Sarah were able to prove themselves in their roles as appeal lawyers and mastered the case assigned to them very well.

We were pleased to contribute as a practice partner again this year and would like to thank Professor Diana Niksova and Assistant Professor Thomas Mathy (Institute for Labour Law and Social Law at the University of Innsbruck) for the excellent organisation of the event.

Those who decide to participate in a moot court can not only deepen their knowledge of labour law and train their rhetorical skills. Participating students are also given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the role of a lawyer at an early stage and to gain experience in dealing with practical cases and establish industry contacts during their studies.
