The Right to be Forgotten

In an article in the Tiroler Tageszeitung of 19 January 2020, lawyers Melanie Gassler-Tischlinger and Georg Huber comment on issues relating to the “right to be forgotten” on the Internet.

Is there a virtual eraser with which unpleasant or outdated information can be deleted? Do we have to put up with the online publication of possibly sensitive data?

Our lawyers explain the conditions under which deletion from search engine results can be demanded, but why the right to delete data is not an absolute right that can be asserted in every situation.
