On April 8th, 2014 a presentation was held by Greiter Pegger Kofler & Partners in the Grand Hotel Europa in Innsbruck on the increasingly volatile subject “Dawn Raids by Antitrust Investigators”. Of late, antitrust authorities have stepped up the number of high fines imposed on companies; only recently a company in the electronics branch was fined 2.9 million euros. How companies act during these house searches influences the severity of the fine imposed. The speakers, lawyers Dr. Marco Núnez Müller, LL.M. of the law firm Latham & Watkins LLP in Hamburg/Brussels, Dr. Georg Huber LL.M and Dr. Silvia Moser, M.A., both of the law firm Greiter Pegger Kofler & Partners, explained to the listeners, mainly from enterprises in Western Austria, how to behave if antitrust inspectors turn up on their doorsteps.
The presentation was met with keen interest, around 100 listeners filled the Baroque Hall of the Grand Hotel Europa.
