The European Law School Association – ELSA – Winter Law School on Sports Law was held in Innsbruck for the fourth time from 12 February to 16 February 2018.
Once again, law students from all over Europe (e.g. Austria, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Norway, Slovakia, Rumania, Turkey etc.) took part.
Melanie Gassler-Tischlinger, LL.M. lectured at the Winter Law School on Data Protection and Sports Law.
Using numerous practical examples, Mrs Gassler-Tischlinger illustrated how our data is collected and processed and why winter athletes also need to know about data protection and especially about the new EU General Data Protection Regulation that will enter into force on May 25, 2018.
