The overall theme of the meeting is digitalisation.

The DACH European Lawyers Association was founded in Munich in May 1989 as the DACH German-Austrian-Swiss-Lichtensteinian Lawyers’ Association. The 25 founding members made up the name from the country codes “D” for Germany, “A” for Austria and “CH” for Switzerland. The name”DACH” has now assumed a symbolic value for what are now 621 members. “Dach” is the German word for roof, and “DACH” is seen as a common roof over the heads of the members. Many of them them take part in the bi-annual meetings, making them successful social events.
Apart from lawyers from the four core countries, now German speaking colleagues from 25 other countries, namely Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Rumania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United States have joined.
