Congratulations to our IT legal expert and partner Georg Huber on his successful certification as a ‘Certified Value-Based Engineering Ambassador’ (VBE-A) – ISO/IEC/IEEE 24748-7000 by Austrian Standards plus GmbH.
‘Value-based engineering’ focuses on the value-oriented and human-centred approach so that despite all technical progress – especially in the development and handling of new AI technologies – we do not lose sight of what is essential: the overall benefit for society.
Certification requires an understanding and confident use of the ‘value-based engineering’ method for value-based process design, both for business models and system development.
System requirements and ‘AI Use Cases’ for use in practice can in turn be derived from the consideration and integration of ethical principles.
‘Value-based engineering’ as a universal recipe for the responsible use of AI systems? In any case, a safety net.
