After weeks of preparation, intensive case analysis and practical process training, the time had come: the final hearing in the courtroom of the Higher Regional Court of Innsbruck provided the participating students with a worthy stage to demonstrate the knowledge they had acquired as legal representatives before the renowned panel of judges, consisting of HR Hon.-Prof. Dr. Christoph Brenn (Supreme Court judge), Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Alexander Schopper (Head of the Institute for Corporate and Tax Law) and Dr Manfred Bachmann (Vice President of the Tyrolean Bar Association).<\/p>\n

Students Anja Hofer, Timo Sequeira Taxer and Lukas Tinzl, coached by our law firm, took on the role of the opposing party in a tricky copyright case. Even though they didn’t win first place, all of the young lawyers emerged from this demanding competition as winners. So, a big round of applause to our team! You can be proud of yourselves!<\/p>\n

Our \u2018coaches\u2019 and legal experts, Barbara Egger-Russe<\/i> (attorney), Andrea Pegger<\/i> (attorney), Sophie Gratl<\/i> (attorney) and Laura Deiser (assistant professor) were very happy to take on the professional supervision of young talents on their way into legal practice.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to all participants and to the winning team for their impressive achievements!<\/p>\n

And above all: a big thank you to the organisers at the Faculty of Law – University of Innsbruck – Institute for Civil Law, in particular to Univ.-Prof. Dr. Simon Laimer, Ass.-Prof. Dr. Kristin Nemeth and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Vonkilch, for their academic support and their constant commitment to making the Moot Court series a valuable teaching format.<\/p>\n
